The in-house product could not scale across the network. Calculations exceeded the required processing window, time to market was over 45 days, and cloud costs were five times over budget
SOLUTION
- Audited three areas: functional architecture, technical architecture, and the separation of platform components
- Gathered evidence through interviews with the team and product owners, artifact analysis, Confluence, Jira, and calculation logs
- Tested more than 30 hypotheses for reducing infrastructure capacity requirements
- Created an initiative plan with estimated impact and timelines
OUTCOMES
Infrastructure requirements were reduced several-fold, removing the barrier to rollout across the entire network
